Posted May 20, 2012 These strange deep-sea creatures look like they could be characters from a new science fiction film. The menacing fangs of the viperfish make it the Hannibal Lecter of the deep, while the larval anglerfish looks terrified as it swims away. Photographer Norbert Wu snapped the unusual fish as they were raised onto a boat, while on a research expedition. The creatures were netted around 1,000ft below sea level. - source - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries

Posted May 20, 2012 I'm going to borrow that for my desktop. There used to be a program called Web Shots where you could gather up cool stuff like this and it would rotate through them when the screen saver kicked on. I don't know if Web Shots still exists, though - it was really top heavy with ads. There's got to be a similar program out there, though.

Posted May 21, 2012 From ADQs link:Wildly bizarre half-plant/half-animal creature - with a lovely name "Eastern Emerald Elysia"This beautiful leaf-shaped sea slug Elysia chlorotica lives in shallow pools along Atlantic coast of North America, eats algae with gusto - one meal is enough for its lifetime! - and by using photosynthesis like any other plant, shatters the most basic definition between the "animal" and "plant" kingdoms.More pics and story at the link. Nothing pops up on my computer as a negative.
