The manifestation of the ceiling bunny has prompted me to do some research. The Pookah is known by many names and can take many forms. General consensus has it that a Pookah is a mischievous and whimsical entity that can be alternately friendly, amusing, or even downright malevolent in nature.

--

Last night, I watched the movie Harvey (1950)

A six-foot invisible rabbit is the title character.

A character named Wilson, leaning that Harvey is a pookah, looks up pookah in the dictionary. The entry begins, "A Celtic elf or vegetation spirit of mischievious nature. . ." and ends, remarkably, ". . . and how are you tonight, Mr. Wilson?" The actor playing Wilson drops the book in shock.

--

And last week, I watched Donnie Darko (2001)

A six-foot rabbit appears to the title character.

Donnie: Why do you wear that stupid bunny suit?

Frank: Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

Robert Anton Wilson on the Pookah

"The pookah takes many forms, but is most famous when he appears as a giant, six-foot white rabbit - which is the form most Americans know from the play and film, Harvey. Whatever form the pookah takes, he retains the special ability of his species, which is like that of Thoth in Egyptian legend, Coyote in Native American myth or Hanuman the Divine Monkey in Hindu lore - he can move us from one universe, or Belief System, into another, and he likes to play games with our ideas about 'reality.'"

From "Cosmic Trigger Volume 2" by Robert Anton Wilson

At a nearby restaurant, silhouetted in the textured glass, it appeared.

But it won't get far on less than half a tank of gas, . . .

Yep, it left Twix wrappers in the car. Also, some. . .

Trolli Road Kill Gummi Candy—shaped, as the name implies, like animals flattened by cars.
