she was always burgundy
her scent, apples and walnuts
cinnamon and hyacinth
an essence invoking remembrances of late spring
she would always bring
a little bit more than asked for
i needed time
she needed nothing but a smile
and since there was none
she slipped away
her scent, apples and walnuts
cinnamon and hyacinth
an essence invoking remembrances of late spring
she would always bring
a little bit more than asked for
i needed time
she needed nothing but a smile
and since there was none
she slipped away

I started out on burgundy
But soon hit the harder stuff
Everybody said they'd stand behind me
When the game got rough
But the joke was on me
There was nobody even there to call my bluff...

Let me guess, you picked out yet another colorful box with a crank that I'm expected to turn and turn until OOP! big shock, a jack pops out and you laugh and the kids laugh and the dog laughs and I die a little inside.

Ron Burgundy: [singing] Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight / Gonna grab some afternoon delight / My motto's always been, "When it's right, it's right" / Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night?
Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana, Champ Kind, Brick Tamland: [singing] When everything's a little clearer in the light of day / And we know the night is always gonna be there anyway.
Brian Fantana, Brick Tamland: [singing] Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite / Looking forward to a little afternoon delight / Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ignite / And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting.
Ron Burgundy, Brian Fantana, Champ Kind, Brick Tamland: [singing] Sky rockets in flight / Afternoon delight.
Ron Burgundy: You guys have it, I think.

Champ Kind: I don't know Ron, That sounds kinda crazy.
[B]Brian Fantana: Sounds like you have mental problems, man.
Brick Tamland: Yeah you got mental problems, man.
Brian Fantana: Yeah, he really does.
Brick Tamland: Man.

A thought about the poet who wrote a suckling rose

I can handle this
but not without love
another day of nonsense could be unbearable
but i saw a shooting star
and didn't even hesitate to wish
for love
'cause the hurts will all be nothing
the haters will just be circus clowns
when i lay me down to sleep
in the the peace and warmth
of gentle understanding
but not without love

I liked the coffee shop.
Very nice was the one I used to speak with there.

In restless dreams
I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
’neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed
by the flash of A neon light
That split the night...
