Tengo un sueño muy liviano, y la noche pasada noté que había alguien andando sigilosamente por el jardín de mi casa.
Me levanté silenciosamente y me quedé siguiendo los leves ruidos que venían de afuera, hasta ver una
silueta pasando por la ventana del baño.
Como mi casa es muy segura, con rejas en las ventanas y trancas internas en las puertas, no me preocupé demasiado, pero estaba claro que no iba a
dejar al ladrón ahí, contemplándolo tranquilamente.
Llamé a la policía e informé la situación y di mi
dirección. Me preguntaron si el ladrón estaba armado; de que calibre era el arma; si estaba solo; si ya estaba dentro de la casa; etc., etc. Aclaré que no y que de las características del arma no sabía nada.
Me dijeron que no había ningún patrullero para
ayudar, pero que iban a mandar a alguien en el momento que fuera posible. Que si pasaba algo que volviera a llamar...!!!! Dos minutos después llamé nuevamente y dije con voz muy calmada: - Hola, hace un rato llamé porque había alguien en mi jardín. No hay necesidad de que se apuren. Yo ya maté al tipo con un tiro de escopeta calibre 12, que tengo guardada para estas situaciones.
Y el tiro se lo pegué en la cara!.. Le volé la cabeza
y ahora sus sesos están regados por el jardín...
Pasados menos de tres minutos, había en mi calle 5
patrulleros de la Policía Estatal; un helicóptero de
la policía; el defensor del pueblo, el fiscal de turno, 2 patrullas de Defensa Civil, un equipo de reporteros de Televisión; fotógrafos; 1 Senador, 2 Representantes y un grupo de derechos humanos, que desde luego no se perderían esto por nada del mundo. La Policía agarró al ladrón in fraganti, quien estaba mirando todo con cara de asombro, tal vez pensando que la mía era la casa del Jefe de Policía...... En medio del tumulto, un Oficial se aproximó y me dijo: Creí que había dicho que había matado al ladrón. Yo le contesté:

¡Ah, los puertorriqueños… que difícil pregunta!

Los puertorriqueños están entre ustedes pero no son de ustedes. Los puertorriqueños beben en la misma copa la alegría y la amargura. Hacen música de su llanto y se ríen de la música.

Los puertorriqueños toman en serio los chistes y hacen chistes de lo serio. No creen en nadie y creen en todo. ¡No se les ocurra discutir con ellos jamás!

Cuando discuten, no dicen: No estoy de acuerdo contigo sino ¡Estas completamente equivocado!

Tienen tendencias antropofágicas; así entonces ¡Se la comió! es una expresión de admiración y comerse un cable es señal de una situación critica. Llamarle a alguien come beep es un insulto lacerante.

El puertorriqueño ama tanto la contradicción que llama monstruos a las mujeres hermosas y bárbaros a los eruditos. Si te aqueja alguna situación de salud te advierten ¡Mano, debiste hablar conmigo para llevarte donde un pana mío médico que es un caballo!

Los puertorriqueños ofrecen soluciones antes de saber el problema.

Para ellos nunca hay problema. Saben lo que hay que hacer para erradicar el terrorismo, encausar a América Latina, eliminar el hambre en África, pagar la deuda externa, quién debe ser presidente y cómo Estados Unidos puede llegar a ser una potencia mundial.

In the latter part of the second century, Matthew translates the Lord's Prayer in rather crude Greek, behind which one can still sense the original Aramaic. The commonly accepted version of the Lord's Prayer is the version of Matthew. This version however is admitted to be grossly inaccurate. It contains sixty-six words. The Revised Version of Matthew contains but fifty-five. Twenty-four words either do not belong to the prayer, or have been misplaced; while words which do belong to it have been omitted.

In this regard, John E. Remsberg, author of The Christ writes: "If the custodians of the Christian Scriptures have permitted the prayer of their Lord to be corrupted to this extent, what reliance can be placed upon the genuineness of the remainder of these writings?"

The Lord's Prayer, like so many more of the precepts and discourses ascribed to Jesus, is borrowed. Dr. Hardwicke, of England, says: "The so-called 'Lord's Prayer' was learned by the Messiah as the 'Kadish' from the Talmud."

The Kadish, as translated by Christian scholar, Rev. John Gregorie, is as follows:

"Our Parent which art in heaven, be gracious to us, O Lord, our God; hallowed be thy name, and let the remembrance of thee be glorified in heaven above and in the earth here below. Let thy kingdom reign over us now and forever. The holy men of old said, Remit and forgive unto all men whatsoever they have done against me. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil thing. For thine is the kingdom, and thou shalt reign in glory for ever and for evermore."

The eminent Swiss theologian, Dr. Wetstein, says: "It is a curious fact that the Lord's Prayer may be constructed almost verbatim out of the Talmud...
