The news item from 'De Telegraaf' was mostly nonsense. Antonio Ferrigno was an examiner at the EPO, not its head. I knew him to say 'hi' to. He was not well-known. He had written a couple of papers on superconductivity while doing research in the 1980s and he had a bit of a bee in his bonnet that Einstein's theory of special relativity was wrong (about which he also wrote a paper (which is written in creaky English and is a bit odd, frankly - see other posts here). Apart from that, he had been an examiner at the EPO for 22 years. That's all, folks. He was certainly murdered and the police are investigating.
Now, however, by simply Googling 'Antonio Ferrigno murder Rijswijk' you can find all sorts of bollocks about how he was murdered by CIA/Mossad in order to prevent him disclosing something or other to do with nuclear blah, blah, blah. There are some sad people out there. They should get a life. |
