I have always liked this picture.

My grandmother used to have prayer cards with this image, and to this day I still keep

the one she gave me in my wallet.

I went to a flea market and found an 8x11 print in good condition, broken glass, crappy frame. Bought it and added it to my ever growing pile of stuff and forgot about it.

Today I went through the stacks of frames I have collected, and set the ones I need to fix aside...took the print out and looked at it closer.

The "flowers" on the lower right hand side of this picture are thistles, interesting to me because I have never noticed it before.

Maybe a Scot was the artist?

Oh, sister, when I come to knock on your door,
Don't turn away, you'll create sorrow.
Time is an ocean but it ends at the shore

Beautiful words guest...

I have put the picture safely aside, it's older that I thought.

You can't see the detail in the prayer cards, what the original print shows...

I was surprised about the thistles.

My husband will be taking trips, so maybe I can learn his scanner and scan

the part that piqued my interest.

(don't hold your breath though, I tried to upload a photobucket pic for my av, and miserably failed :)
